Family resort Davos Klosters
In the middle of the Alps, surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas and an idyllic winter landscape you find Davos, the city with the highest altitude in Europe (1560 meters a.s.l.) as well as the typical mountain village of Klosters, with its picturesque chalets (1200 meters a.s.l.).
Klosters, the ski resort located down the road from Davos, is connected to the same ski circuit, making it easy to explore both villages during a Davos ski vacation.
Smaller in size and quainter in nature, Klosters' village offers warm and picturesque surroundings for your après-ski activities: shopping, tennis, squash, sleigh rides, nightlife and cultural events.
The two resorts are connected by the five ski areas of the Davos Klosters Mountains. With its 80 ski slopes and 269 km of downhill runs, Davos Klosters Mountains is one of the Alps‘ largest ski areas.
Beginners have nursery slopes beneath the Jakobshorn at Bolgen with several ski schools to choose from, and from here they can move onto a range of long easy blues on Jakobshorn and Parsenn.
Advanced skiers will find a great range of black runs, many of them cut through the steep forested slopes on the lower levels of each sector, and the off-piste can be superb in good conditions.
Switzerland in general (and Davos in particular) is not a destination for a snow-sports trip on the cheap. However, the resort does offer a program of complementary activities to holders of the free Davos Klosters guest card, available via the tourist office.
