Fronalpstock - perfect panorama views
The Fronalpstock is a mountain in Switzerland, in the Schwyzer Alps and the canton of Schwyz. It has an elevation of 1,921 metres above sea level.
The striking observation platform above Brunnen is easily reached by chairlift from car-free Stoos. And sweeping views extend from part of Lake Lucerne as far as the Black Forest. The spectacular Stoos ridge trail between Klingenstock and Fronalpstock ends on the Fronalpstock.
There’s an easy 1.5 km stroll along the cliffs at the top, suitable for smaller children and all-terrain strollers. If you prefer not to hike, you can lounge at the picnic area and playground or enjoy some refreshments at the restaurant terrace.
The panoramic view of more than ten Swiss lakes and numerous peeks is simply breathtaking.
The cult sites commemorating the origins of the Swiss Confederation are literally at your feet on the Fronalpstock as well.
